A coffee machine or coffee maker is an automated machine that helps to brew coffee. It is widely used everywhere. It is the easiest and simplest way to make coffee by yourself. It simplifies the process of making coffee with its advanced mechanism.
INTRODUCTION TO COFFEE MACHINES
The coffee machine was first invented in the year 1802 by French pharmacist Francois Antoine Descroisilles. Then it was modified by a German woman Mellita Bentz, in the year 1908. This coffee machine was named the Drip coffee machine.
The name drip coffee machine was given to it based on the process, nature and mechanism of the coffee machine. She made some changes to the French pharmacist’s coffee machine by adding a filter (blotting paper) into it. So that it drips the brewed coffee to the container through the filter. With reference to the Mellita Bentz coffee machine, the electric drip coffee maker called the Wigomat was invented in the year 1954 by Gottlob Widmann in Germany.
TYPES OF COFFEE MACHINE
There are totally three types of coffee machines.
- Vacuum brewers
- Single-serve coffeemaker
A vacuum brewer is an automated coffee maker. It brews coffee with the vapor pressure and gravity procedure. This vacuum brewer uses only two chambers to brew coffee.
A cafetiere or French press is also known as a press pot or coffee press or coffee plunger is a coffee brewing device. This coffee maker was invented in the year 1929, in Italy.
This single-serve coffeemaker is the best and easiest one compared to both the vacuum brewers and cafetiere. It brews coffee in less than one minute. It also serves coffees of different types, like- pod greens, cappuccino, espresso, etc.
